HASA at UCF: Our Purpose and Mission

About HASA

In 1985, the Hispanic American Student Association was created to show the University of Central Florida what the Hispanic / Latino culture is about. Our mission is to provide a positive and social atmosphere while embracing the roots of the Hispanic culture. HASA has three main goals:

1. To provide UCF students with educational and cultural activities
2. To collaborate with the community and develop a relationship between the UCF student body and the Orlando Hispanic-Latino community.
3. To provide a familial experience at the collegiate level.

Today years later, HASA is the largest organization of its kind at the university! In the past, HASA has hosted "A Day Without A Mexican," Comedy Knight with Steve Treviņo, business expos, dance lessons, and networking events. In the fall semester, HASA coordinates Hispanic Heritage Month at the university from September 15 - October 15.
