Program Description

This program option will provide cutting-edge professional preparedness in accordance with the National Middle School Model for excellence in middle school education. In addition to the core requirements, students will complete the following courses and an elective approved by the advisor::

  • EDM 6401 Principles of Middle Level Education (3 hours)
  • EDM 6047 Understanding the Young Adolescent (3 hours)
  • EDM 6321 Middle Level Instruction (3 hours)
  • EDM 6235 Contemporary Issues of Middle Level Education (3 hours)
  • Approved Elective or EDM 6908 Research Project(3 hours)
