Dr. Fernando Gonzalez
Assistant Professor

Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering
College of Engineering and Computer Science

University of Central Florida

Note:

I have resigned from UCF effective May 5, 2006. I have accepted a new position with the University of California to work at Los Alamos National Laboratory as a Computer Science Staff Member in the Energy and Infrastructure Analysis Group (D-4) of the Decision Applications Division. Los Alamos National Labs is operated by the University of California for the National Nuclear Security Administration of the US Department of Energy. This position calls for full time research in the area of simulation and analysis of discrete event systems with applications in the protection of critical infrastructures. Working with discrete event systems is my primary area of research.

I have had a lot of fun working here at UCF and its something I always wanted to do. The most rewarding part of my job here at UCF has been working with the students and teaching. While I will miss that, I am really looking forward to this new position.
