My name is Enrique San Miguel. I am from Valladolid , the capital of Castille, Spain where I lived almost my entire life until I decided to move to Arizona two years ago. I'm 28, Sagittarius (if you care about horoscopes). I studied in my hometown, English Philology (which is a degree in both English Literature and Linguistics). First I attempted to study Law but it was hard, boring and dirty. Besides I spent most of my time partying, biking and planning trips. So I quit. I'm glad I changed my major because I found a great satisfaction teaching languages. I have been teaching as a teaching assistant the last two years, here at the Foreign Languages Department, and I enjoy the possibility of communicating to other people not only the basic grammar rules, but also my perspective of life and, at the same time, make my students to show their own points of view. I think traveling around Spain, Europe, Africa and America has forced me to see things in a different way. It opens your mind and make you open-minded. It definitely makes you grow as a person and makes you more tolerant and respectful with other cultures so different from yours. If you learn you lost your fear. Three years ago I was afraid of our home computer (an IBM 386) today I think I spend too much time in front of my PC. And I think that's enough about me! Oh yeah! What 3 things do I bring to a desert island? my girlfriend Sonya, a soccer ball and... my computer! of course ; )
