I have been a fan of David since I went to my first hockey game at Arizona Veterans Memorial Colesium. At that time David was the goalie for the Phoenix Roadrunners. He immediately became my favorite player and I followed his career religiously. I was always happy when David came into Phoenix and even happier when he played for the Roadrunners and the Mustangs. I was there the night the Phoenix Mustangs were crowned WCHL champions and Goverde was named playoff MVP. I moved to Orlando in 2000 and was excited to read that the Orlando Seals signed David for the 2002-2003 season.
