are you guys?
The UCF College Democrats club is dual-chartered with both the College Democrats of America and the Young Democrats of America and serves as a youth outreach for the Democratic Party. Our organization hopes to provide a presence for the Party on both the UCF Campus and in the Orlando community through helping with campaigns, holding on-campus events, hosting speakers, and more!

What
have you done?
The UCF College Democrats worked hard on the 2004 campaign through canvassing, phone banking, sign waving, registering new voters, and turning out the vote on the UCF campus. The Kerry campaign set a turnout goal for our precinct based on past turnout and we blew their target away by 400 percent! With the Presidential race being one of the most divisive in history, an open Senate seat here in Florida, and our school being located in the most contested part of the most contested state, 2004 was a big year for the UCF College Democrats. We hosted big name Democrats and candidates such as John Kerry, John Edwards, Wesley Clark, Betty Castor, Bill Nelson, Max Cleland, Pete Peterson, and Robert F. Kennedy, Jr! We even welcomed John Kerry and John Edwards’ kids, Meg Ryan, and Leonardo DiCaprio!
We have also attended Democratic conventions, hosted speakers at UCF, and rubbed elbows with some of the most influential Democrats in the country. This year we'll be getting ready for the 2006 midterm elections through campaign training, registering new voters, and strengthening ties with the local, state, and national Party. We also are doing our part in the community by volunteering for various causes and we’ve adopted a road on campus at UCF! Quite simply, there has never been a more exciting time to be UCF College Democrat!
