Book
Exhibition Information
March
6 - 9, 2002
Description
Participation
in the annual CIES book exhibition is free to publishers and organizations. In
addition, ad space in the official CIES 2002 program is available for purchase.
In exchange for free participation, we request that book publishers submit two
review copies of many of the books published that are relevant to CIES participants.
Since CIES participants are interdisciplinary in their focus, books and journals
focusing on one or more of the following disciplines would be most welcome: international
and/or comparative education, education, sociology, cultural studies, post-colonial
theory, anthropology, history, area studies, politics, international affairs,
globalization, country studies, regional studies, language, multiculturalism,
information technology etc.
The two review copies
of texts submitted for display will be raffled off at the conclusion of the conference
to young scholars and graduate students. It is our belief that we have an obligation
to foster new intellectual insight and practice in the field of international
and comparative education. Your participation can guarantee free publicity for
your publications, and will simultaneously foster intellectual growth in the field.
If interested, CIES 2002 is willing to sell your books at the conference. A nominal
fee (a certain percent of the sales price) will be charged in exchange for the
sales of your materials. Please send inquiries regarding how to exhibit your publications
to biraimah@mail.ucf.edu .
