Pat Moskal, Chair, opened the meeting at 2:10 pm and distributed an agenda and handouts. He requested for members to read over the handout titled Goals and Objectives (of the committee).

Workshop

Members discussed possible dates for the first workshop. It was decided that the number of attendees would be limited to 50. Valencia was suggested as a possible alternative if Seminole couldn't accommodate that date.

The suggestion was made to set a date for the second workshop. November 14th was agreed upon with the third workshop to be held in the spring, possibly in January. Members agreed that all institutions could bring 7-8 people and that RSVP should be coll ected by the committee contact person. Neill Foshee agreed to make a flyer to promote the workshop and also give it to Barbara to customize it for dissemination. Lisa Valentino called and arranged for the workshop to be held, Tuesday, October 17th in room L205 at SCC from 2:00 - 5:00pm.

Surveys

Members also discussed the modified surveys. Members took time to actually fill out the surveys and based on this, recommended changes, noted by Moskal on his master copy. Concerns were expressed for consistency. It was agreed that it was better to get all the data at once rather than returning later for more information.

It was decided that Moskal, Martin and Foshee would make revisions and get the cleaned up copy of the survey to Barbara Truman as soon as possible for distribution to all the institutions. The cover sheets would be tailored with each institution's cont act information. Two weeks would be given for the return of surveys. Salaried faculty would be the audience for this survey.

The next meeting was scheduled for Tuesday, October 31st in room 100 of the Research Pavillion from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
