Brevard Campus.
Policy No: 9798-02
Title: Defense Posting
Policy: A student shall post notice of his or her defense both at the
Brevard Campus in the designated area(s) and at the Orlando Campus as
otherwise required.
Policy: In order to facilitate area campus student participation, the
Brevard honors program coordinator may sign all forms on behalf of the
honors director, with the exception of the final thesis approval form.
Policy: recognizing that the student population at the Brevard Campus is
largely nontraditional and often part-time, the requirement of full-time
status is amended to allow part-time students to participate in the
honors program. Part-time students are eligible if they are enrolled in
a minimum of six hours as they participate in the honors program and
they have completed a minimum of six hours in the two semesters
preceding their entry into the honors program.
Policy: If academically sound, a Brevard based honors thesis committee
may include faculty members from three different departments. The chair
must, however, be from the student's major department and at least one
member of the committee shall be a full-time faculty member at the
Brevard Campus. One committee member may be adjunct faculty.
