Honors at the Brevard Campus
The university is committed to making the honors in the major program available
to area campus students. In order to facilitate this objective, Dr. Allyn
Stearman, Dean of The Honors College, appointed a honors college coordinator
at both the Brevard Campus and the Daytona campus. In addition, Honors
College policies intended to assist area campus
students have been developed and a limited number of honors in the major
program scholarships earmarked for area campus students have been provided.
If you have any questions concerning honors and the Brevard Campus, see
Dr. Daniel E. Hall, Honors College coordinator (632-1111, ext. 65586) to
schedule an appointment or or e-mail him at dhall@pegasus.cc.ucf.edu.
You may also check the honors bulletin board on the first floor of the
Maxwell Building, Brevard Campus.
Policies of the Honors in the Major Program at Brevard
Brevard students must comply with the university, college, and departmental
honors in the major program requirements. However, the policies below have
been developed at the University level with the intention of reducing some
of the inconveniences that are presented by being an area campus student.
Scholarship Opportunities for Brevard Honors in the Major Students
For several years the University has made scholarship money available to
it's outstanding honors in the major students. The awards are competitive
and there is no assurance that they will continue every year. during the
1997-1998 academic year, two Brevard honors in the major students received
scholarships from the Brevard Campus and one student received a scholarship
from her college on the main campus.
The links bellow are the guidelines, criteria, and application for
the scholarships for the 1997-1998 year. These may change if money is made
available in the upcoming year. They are posted only for your advisement.
