About the Master of Science in Taxation Degree

The Master of Science in Taxation program qualifies graduates to work in the area of taxation and to sit for the CPA examination in Florida. University of Central Florida masters graduates have been particularly successful on the CPA examination.  In recent years, UCF masters graduates have twice scored the fifth highest pass rate in the nation, once the nation's second highest pass rate, and once the nation's highest pass rate. UCF undergraduates recently had the nation's highest pass rate on the exam.

UCF MST students have competed in the Deloitte Tax Case Study Competition (formerly the Arthur Andersen Tax Challenge)  in each of the past ten years. Up to 100 teams participate in seven regional competitions.  The top six graduate and undergraduate teams advance to the national finals competition.  UCF teams have advanced to the national finals in nine of the ten years they have competed. Teams have placed first, second, and third  in the national competition.
