Dr. Aldrin E. Sweeney is an Assistant Professor of Science Education in the Department of Instructional Programs, College of Education at the University of Central Florida.  He received his Ph.D. in Science Education at Florida State University in 1997.

In addition to his teaching and research activities, Dr. Sweeney also currently serves as the UCF site coordinator of the Florida Collaborative for Excellence in Teacher Preparation (FCETP), a National Science Foundation funded program focusing on the professional preparation of secondary level (grades 6-12) science and mathematics teachers.
