Planetary Nebula (Observations & Imaging)

Planetary Nebula Observations

My interest in planetary nebula is something that has only recently come about. Though I have have had the opportunity to view them over the years, it is only now that I have come to truly appreciate their true beauty. I have found that next to observing and imaging globular clusters nothing compares to the impressive beauty of the Ring nebula, the Cat's Eye or the Eskimo nebula located in the constellation of Gemini. Though the potential to image globular clusters is quite limited (100 plus as best) planetary nebula number in the thousands allowing for a great many targets for astrographing. The images below are just a few of the many planetary nebula that I have observed over the past few years.

Imaging Planetary Nebula

The observations and images below were captured using a variety of telescopic systems. They include a Meade 12 inch LX200, Meade 16 and the use of 2 (14 inch CST's) remote scopes. Imaging devices used; DSI's, Starshoot's, etc.
