Have you ever watched
Law & Order and wondered
what it would be like to be that wily prosecutor or the slick
defense attorney instead of just a passive, disinterested
juror? The Phi Alpha Delta
Mock Trial Team is one of the best ways for new or old members to
gain hands-on experience in the practice of the law. Last year our
team did an outstanding job, showing everyone just what UCF-Phi
Alpha Delta is all about—a steadfast devotion to our education and
appreciation for not just the law, but for
society at large.
~Congratulations~

Congratulations to the Spring 2008
PAD Mock Trial Team. After trying out at the beginning of the
semester, the team has been selected to compete in the 2008 PAD
State Conference. We wish them the best of luck and cannot wait
until the bring home ANOTHER 1st place win!
Update: It looks
like my prediction at the beginning of the semester was right...out
team did bring in another 1st place win. They beat out all the other
teams in the competition!
"Our very own Phi Alpha Delta mock trial team
swept the competition this weekend. They won every single award
including first place in the competition and Spirit of Phi Alpha
Delta. Please give congratulations to your fellow brothers that
competed this weekend. For the plaintiff, Nancy Brigham, Tylar
Heintz, Jackie Myers, Melissa Beardsley, and Tim Mehta rocked it.
For the defense, Brandon Dark, Benjamin Abel, Angela Lowery, Sarah
Pavlock, and Rhianna Garcia "defended" their turf! A special
congratulations goes out to Nancy Brigham, who won Best Attorney,
and Angela Lowery, who won Best Witness with a perfect score."
