TRAVELING SESSION

TITLE: Corset in a Day

DESCRIPTION:
Using the Laughing Moon Silverado Corset Pattern, students will cut, stitch and fit a beautiful 1890 style corset in just a day. The corset has shaped panels, bust petals and steel boning. With a busk in the front and lacing in the back, the corset is easy to fit and comfortable to wear. Corsets can be made for the participant or in a standard size. The finished corset is durable and will withstand several productions. Techniques learned are easily applied to corsets from other periods. We'll discuss fitting methods, finishing procedures and techniques for decoration and ornamentation.

For intermediate stitchers only--college age.
This workshop takes a FULL DAY-at least 8 hours.

Limit of ten participants.
