TRAVELING SESSION

TITLE: Tambour Beading Workshop

DESCRIPTION:
Participants will learn the basics of tambour beading in a full day “make and take” workshop. We will learn the techniques of stretching the fabric on the frame, transferring the beads to the stitching thread and manipulating the tambour-beading needle. Once mastered, this simple technique can produce beaded trim, appliqués, and entire dresses reminiscent of the 1920's. Participants keep materials and tools.
Appropriate for groups up to 12-14 participants
