Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I play in UCF RWC if I am member of the club? What about RWC membership?

A: Yes and No. If you are a UCF student then yes. Otherwise you have to buy RWC membership to enter the facility. If you are not a UCF student or RWC paying member, you cannot enter the facility unless you are with a UCF student as a guest, who must stay with you the entire time you are in the facility. Also remember that the badminton club does not and can not have reserved time on the courts.

Q: Where can I buy shuttles?

A: Unfortunately, we don't have any good badminton shops in Orlando so the only option is to order them online. You can find links here. For our last tournament, we ordered AeroPlane Shuttles.

Q: Where can I buy racquets?

A: Again, Online. I would strongly suggest that you check the reviews for the product you want to buy before you order it online. You can do that from Badminton Central. You can find links to online stores here. One of our member recently bought it from Badminton Alley.

Q: I am not a UCF student, can I play at UCF Recreation and Wellness Center (RWC)?

A: Yes. You can either purchase regular membership or play on daily basis. Monthly Membership (for Friend/Guest of UCF student) is $32 (limited access) or $64 (unlimited access). Q: I don't have my own Racquet or Shuttles. Can I still play at UCF RWC?

A: Yes, UCF RWC checks out racquets and shuttles for players.

Q: I am UCF student. Can I bring a guest?

A: Yes, UCF students are allowed to bring guests in UCF RWC each semester. Guests must be 17 years of age and have valid ID.

Q: How many people play at UCF RWC? How many courts you normally have?

A: Normally we have around 8-12 players every Saturday. We have space for 6 courts, but we usually set-up 2 at any time.

Q: Can I play anywhere else in Orlando?

A: Yes, two places that I know are Celebrations and Lee Road Club. You can find more details here.

Q: Do you know the directions of Lee Road Club?

A: Take I-4 and get off on the Lee Road exit and head west.
